The Today Screen Workflow: Start Day
What is the Today Screen?
The Today Screen is used to assist surveyors and crew in the process of preparing for their day. The content and detail included in the Today Screen is completely customizable to suit individual company needs and is designed to mimic a standard daily workflow. We will review a typical set-up of the Today Screen in the video and details below.
The Today screen is a comprehensive overview of the day’s tasks in sequential order. It consists of both questionnaires or checklists concerning the day and the jobs, and menus for the actual tasks.
The basic or standard workflow would be as follows:

After the first few menus you´ll start the Jobs at (5), and as you work through the day, it would be wise to revisit the Today Screen now and then, especially when you have finished for the day to see if all is completed. You will arrive at the Today Screen immediately when clicking on the ´Tick Icon´ in the bottom menu bar from anywhere in Mobi.
On the Today Screen, the completed steps are highlighted in dark grey and will be flagged as “Finished”. If you have not completed all the tasks or questions, and go back to the Today screen, it will be highlighted in green and would be flagged as “Started”.
Questionnaires and Checklists Overview
Start Day
When you enter the Today Screen, the standard workflow will begin by navigating to the Start Day screen, which begins the process of getting ready for the day ahead.
On the Start Day screen, you will be greeted with a checklist of items to complete prior to beginning the rest of the day’s tasks. All of the responses you enter here are recorded in the Review section of the relevant job in Moveware. The questions concerning general tasks and readiness are set by your company.
Selecting the button at the top of the screen that says “Show Unanswered Questions Only” you can choose to see all questions, to show unanswered questions only, or to show questions one at a time. This option is available for all checklits/questionnaires.
View Jobs
The View Jobs section allows crew/surveyors to see all tasks that need to be completed.
This screen functions in much the same way as the “Today’s Schedule” tab from the Home Screen. In it, you can review jobs by today, tomorrow, or a weekly view. You can toggle between viewing completed and incomplete jobs.
Job Readiness Checklist
The Job Readiness Checklists acts as a reminder for all job-specific requirements to ensure the crew is ready for the job ahead.
Start of Day Vehicle Checklist
This checklist is used to assist with continued vehicle maintenance and safety.
If you have multiple drivers sharing the same vehicle, you may want to consider keeping track of the vehicle’s condition after each job. The vehicle checklist allows you to do this by recording the vehicle’s odometer readings, complete safety checks, and allowing the drivers to save comments and pictures regarding the state of the vehicle.
Some review lists such as this one require a signature to be completed.
Materials Required
This section is used to record and manage all material taken to the job site.
By clicking on the Add button you will see a list of all your firm’s materials. Once added, you will be able to allocate these materials to the individual job and specify the additional quantity taken on the job.
When a questionnaire or checklist is finished you can view it as PDF report or e-mail it, to client or colleagues as you wish. There are many more reviews, questionnaires and checklists available. The standard setup includes the following for the Daily Flow: Start Day, Vehicle Checklists (one at the beginning and one at the end of the day), Expenses, Timesheet and Finish Day, but your company might have changed this. There are other questionnaires and checklists related to each Job.
