Before You Start (Custom Local Reports)
It is important that before you start with any custom work on local reports, that you first create a custom version of your settings, which means these are protected and will never be overwritten by Mobi system updates from our base system.
To create a custom version of a local report:
Navigate to Administration -> <Your Company Name> Setup -> Mobi Setup -> Codes and filter the search screen to find the report you want to custom modify (in the example below we are looking to modify the Client Signoff Report)
Select the report you wish to modify (highlight it by clicking on it once), press copy and give the new version a new code name (for this example we have used “CustomTestClientSignOff” (previously “ClientSignoff”) then press Save. The code name can’t have any spaces. Once the new menu is created, ensure you add “mobi custom” into the MW Setup field- this will make the custom report appear on the Reports tab so it can be easily found & edited in the future.
To not have duplicate versions of the report, ensure the original report is made inactive:
Note: Remember that if you make any Custom Reports, double check any Menus that are set to display said report, and re link the Menu to the new report version. Example. If you create a new version of the inventory sign off report, then the below Job Inventory Sign off menu should be updated where highlighted to display now the code name of the NEW report.
