How to Edit Invoice Header Information
The invoice header is auto populated from information entered in the Details Tab, which feeds the costing details that eventually become invoices and populate the invoice “header.”
However, you may need to modify or add more items to the default information contained in your invoice header. It is possible to modify client name, addresses, additional notes, attention, and more from the header section of the Invoicing Tab.
Example: Changing the Name of a Customer on the Bill To Field
When working with private accounts, you may need to specify the name of the client on the invoice and not just a generic “private COD” account at the time of billing. This can be easily updated by entering a new name into the Bill To field.
Note that this will not change the Customer – this will only change how the Customer name appears on the invoice header once generated.
If you need to change the actual Customer, simply use the drop-down arrow on the Bill To field and select a different customer from the Customer Lookup.
