Set Folders to Automatically Delete in X Days
Ensure that the System Parameter ‘deleteclosedfolders – Delete specified folders on closed jobs’ = Y.
Search for the System Parameter ‘deleteclosedfoldersdays – Delete Closed Folder Days’ and specify the number of days, after which the folder will be deleted once the job is closed.
Please note that 1) if this System Parameter is set to N, it will retain the default 183 days (or six months) and 2) the deletion will be made on a Sunday during the nightly maintenance. This means it may take more than the number of days specified for the folders to be deleted.
Users will need to specify the folders they wish to be deleted in Codes Management in the ‘Directory’ code type. Navigate to the Codes Management screen and flag for the ‘Directory’ code type (Administration > System Setup > Codes > Directory).
Add the folder(s) you wish to be deleted and mark them for deletion by typing ‘delete’ in the Extra field.
Navigate to the Jobs Management screen.
When users click on the job’s ‘Attachments’ folder icon, they will see the new folder as created in Codes Management. Files put in this folder will be deleted in two days after the job is closed or on the upcoming Sunday during nightly maintenance.
