Add Assets to a Job

If you will be receiving Items into Storage, or delivering Items out of storage, you need to create a Job (of the Asset Management Type).

Navigate to the Inventory tab of the Job you’ve created.

In Creating Assets we looked at the different ways Products and Items can be added to Moveware.

If your client has requested a pickup or delivery using MovePartner, the Job will already display the Product(s) the client has requested, along with the quantity of Items the Customer has requested of each Product. See the above screenshot, which has a Qty of 1.

If the Job was not created via MovePartner, and you plan on scanning the Items using Mobi, you can add the Products and their Quantities that you expect to receive. Click Add, toggle to Products, and choose each Product that will be received or delivered out. Once the Product has been added to the Job, you can modify the Quantity. Now you’re at the same level as a Job created via MovePartner.

If you did not create Items in Moveware, because you plan on using MobiCrew to do so, you can stop here (as far as the Inventory tab goes) – you are ready to use MobiCrew.

If you have already created barcoded Items into Moveware, you can click Add (top left of the screen) and select the Items that will be moving on this Job.

In this case, simply click on a Product and hit the Add button. This will bring up the Item lookup with the Product ID of the highlighted Product filtered so that the user can pick Items only from that Product group:

Once the user has highlighted the Item(s) to be used on the Job and clicked OK, these Items will be added to the Job below their corresponding Product.

These Items can now be added to Operational Actions on the Diary tab.
