Add Assets in MoveCrew
During a survey, the sales person might come across 2 scenarios: a barcoded item and an unbarcoded item. If the item is barcoded, the item most likely already exists in Moveware. After these Items are scanned, the user presses a button to update the Item with the information stored against that Item in Moveware. If the item is unbarcoded, then the surveyor would either barcode the item onsite and scan this new barcode or alternatively, he/she can leave the barcode blank and when the item is sync’d back into Moveware, it would adopt the Description of the item as its barcode.
As much information as possible should be added during a survey, along with photos.
Adding Inventory
Note: Please ignore duplicate barcodes on below screenshots. This is just test data with limited barcodes available for scanning.
The Inventory screen in MoveCrew is where the user would add Assets during a Survey. He/she would be adding Assets through this screen either by scanning them with the barcode (easiest & fastest method), or by adding the items from the pick list on the right and then assigning barcodes to them individually.
Adding Inventory via Barcode Scanner:
Simply Tap the barcode button and start scanning barcodes. The system will prompt you when scanning the 1st item whether the barcode you’re trying to add is a Location or new Item, simply select ‘New Item’ and then continue scanning.
When you are finished, Tap the refresh button to update the line items with data from Moveware. Note: Selecting Refresh does not sync inventory with Moveware. It only updates the line items.
If the information could not be downloaded during the refresh, or if it is a new Item, the user can tap on the Item to enter additional information such as weight, colour, condition, model, etc.
If the Item is brand new, the system will automatically create a Product from the item, so it is imperative that as much information as possible is added against the item.
