Mailshot Report – E-mail Blast

If you ever need to send an email blast to a list of clients based on Jobs we have created a report we coded specifically for this purpose. It allows you to send an email blast to clients of a filtered set of jobs. The filter works in a very similar way to the job summary report.
For instance, it allows you to send an email blast to all client emails of jobs done by branch, that are of a specific Type, delivered last month, and status W. You can set the filters as needed.
How to Set Up a Mailshot Report
Please copy the settings below and enter the content of the e-mail however you like. Is important to modify the report body.
Once you have set up the report to your liking, navigate to Reports > Analysis > Jobs and select “Mailshot – Jobs.”
Next, select the required filters. In this example scenario, I selected all jobs created today and specified a branch.
Click the e-mail button and ensure Multiprint is selected. Once you click the e-mail button, you will receive a prompt with options. Keep these default options and click Continue.
Finally, you will receive a list of all client’s emails for you to check. You can even deselect some if you prefer. From there you have two options:
a. Run the process, which will start sending emails using your local email client one by one.
OR
b. Select one and click the email button to check the content before sending it.
Important: Note that depending on the filters the process time might take a while if the list is too big.
It is a good practice to run a job summary report with the desired filters beforehand to review the resulting number. Also, as with any e-mail sent from your profile, you must have Outlook open.
