Automated SMS Messages
Customised SMS messages set up for reports may also be linked to diary actions. This enables the customised SMS to be automatically sent to clients at a date and time determined by diary action’s assigned run time and date.
Automated messages are particularly useful for sending out reminders, e.g. an SMS can be sent to clients prior to an inspection, uplift or delivery.
How to Set Up an Automated Message
Navigate to Administration > Moveware Setup > Diary Actions.
Select the required diary action, or add a new action.
Set the Automated field to Y.
Set the Type to SMS.
Set the Run Time. This is the time that Moveware should send the SMS to the client.
Double click the Report Name field to select the Customised Report SMS Message you wish to send.
Click Save and then Exit.
Navigate to Administration > System Setup > Report Configuration in the main menu and select the required report.
In the Details tab double click the Action field, select the diary action edited and click OK.
Click Save and then Exit.
Once a diary action set up with automated messages is sent to a client, it will be set as completed.
