Set up Attachments for MoveTransfer
If attachments are provided with a Waybill, the system will store these documents using the PDF Path of the default sales rep set in the MoveConnect window. This can be viewed by navigating to Administrator > System Setup > MoveConnect in the main menu.
For example, if the PDF Path of the default representative is C:\temp, default location where waybill attachments will be saved is C:\temp\(branch/table structure if enabled)\[Waybill number]āattachment name.
If you wish to change the default path or representative, feel free to do so via the MoveConnect window, however take note that the sales representative is also used for MoveQuote and other web related services.
Note: If your attachment folder is a mapped drive, e.g. you mapped \\server\shared_folder to F:\shared folder, the pdf-path must be set as the network path (in this case PDF-Path = \\server\shared folder) otherwise you will encounter a MoveTransfer error while attempting to send attachments.
If this is the case, ensure all existing user records have the network path referenced in the āPDF-pathā field instead of the mapped path. Depending on how your system is set up, this can be done by updating every userās PDF path to use the network path instead of the mapped path. Alternatively, every user can map the network path to the same drive (e.g. on every computer the \\server\shared folder is mapped to F:\shared folder).
To set up every user to map the network path to the same drive:
In the main menu navigate to Administration -> Moveware Setup > Codes Management.
In the Codes Management window, filter the type by āMapped Driveā using the drop down box at the top left of the window.
Click the Add button.
Enter the following values in the relevant fields:
Code Value: the mapped path used, e.g. F:\shared path
Description: the corresponding network path, e.g \\server\shared folder
Click Save.
Once this is setup, the next time you send a waybill with attachments, the system is able to locate and access the file by converting the location to a network shared path.
