Add a New Diary Action
How to Add a New Diary Action
Navigate to Administration > Moveware Setup > Diary Actions.
Click Add.
Enter the Code Value and Description (do not include a comma in these fields).
Ensure the fields outlined in the table below are configured and filled out properly.
Overview of Diary Action Module Fields
Field | Details |
Key Actions | Complete this field with the default action(s) this action is linked to. Most operational actions are set to key actions. |
Document | This field indicates whether a document is required for this diary action with a Y or N input. For example, if you require a copy of the client’s passport to do an Export move, “Passport” can be a diary action that you complete once it has been received from the client. For more information on this, please review: Documents as Diary Actions. |
Automated | If the action is an automated action, set to Y. If not, set to N. |
Report Name | The report name that the diary action is linked to. |
Auto Create | When set to R, the ability to auto create diary action will be extended to the Rate Request (Quotes to Agents) module. Moveware will populate the action upon changing the Job or Rate Request status to that specified in the Auto Create Status field. |
Auto Create Status | Determines the status at which the diary action will be created pre-Job Type Creator. |
Auto Create Types | Determines the job types the diary action will be created for pre-Job Type Creator. |
Sort Diary Entry | The order it will appear in a job diary. Refer to the table below for the sort number standards. |
Sort Daily Diary | The order it will appear in the operational diary. Refer to the table below for the sort number standards. |
Show in diaries | Sets which diary type it will appear in. For example: I = imports, O = operational, and so on. |
Parent (P)? | Set to P for parent action or leave blank for a child action. |
Parents | Identify the parent actions required for a child action. |
Lookup Types | The Job Types this action can be selected for. |
Job Types | The Job Types this action will default into. |
Assign to Type | The user type that will be assigned to the diary action. |
Assign to actual user | The individual user(s) that will always be assigned to the diary action. |
Variance | The day variance field should either be set to 3 (before Paret) or -3 (after Parent). Do not use a + sign. |
Finally, select either Y or N in the middle column for any relevant fields.
