Confirm a Job as Won or Lost
Once you have received confirmation from the client that they are going ahead with a Job, the Status must be updated to W (Won).
How to Confirm a Job as Won
Double-click the Status field and select W (won).
Enter any additional information as required.
Click Save.
If the Job is being moved from Status P to W, and multiple Cost Options exist, a popup will display, asking the user which Cost Option was Won. If you were quoting the client on multiple options, choose the one that the client proceeded with. Multiple options can be selected. Any Options not selected will be set as Cancelled.
If the client decides not to move ahead with the Job, the status of the Job should be set to L (Lost). It is important to do this to maintain an accurate database with up-to-date files and to capture trends.
How to Confirm a Job as Lost
Double-click the Status field and select L (Lost).
Click Save.
A “Reason for Loss or Cancellation” window will pop up. Fill this pop-up with as much detail as possible and click Save.
A summary of reasons for loss or cancellation can be generated using the “Salesperson Win Loss Analysis” report, which is located in the Analysis tab of Reports.
