Moveware Database Setup

Initial Host Server Cloud Setup

The first step to determine where the Moveware software will be Hosted (installed).

Typically the database is installed on the client’s Database Server, however a second server (Terminal Server) can be set up to allow user access to Moveware.

The purpose of having 2 separate servers is mainly for security and redundancy.

Notes:

● Normally only Clients IT Provider and Moveware Staff have access to the main server all other users access the database through the terminal server (RDS Remote Desktop Server).

● Any changes to code or reports are made on the Database server – the changes are then pushed through to the terminal server and all Workstation clients.
