General Settings

1.The server must have the TCP/IP Protocol installed and a method of remote access available, such as Remote Desktop.

2.Moveware must be run on a minimum display resolution of 1024 by 768 pixels with normal fonts.

3.Share the Moveware folder on the server (usually C:\Moveware) as Moveware (This is required for updating Workstations).

The Moveware standard folder structures are as follows:

C:\Progress – The default installation folder of Progress.
C:\Moveware – Contains the Moveware programs
C:\Moveware\Company – Progress connection setup and company specific files such as custom reports are stored here
C:\Moveware\Live\Images – Where the image files are stored that Moveware uses that we use for logos
C:\Moveware\Live\Reportrb – Where the Moveware Standard Report Libraries and Crystal Reports are stored
C:\Moveware\Live\Template – Where the Moveware Merge Word Templates are Stored
C:\Databases\Live – Contains the Moveware Database. This is the default location but may change based on client
C:\Databases\Phone11 – Optional – Contains the UK Postcode database if using Royal Mail PAF
C:\Databases[database name]\Backup – Contains backups of the databases created by the scheduled backup tasks
C:\Temp – a folder that is required by Moveware and Progress Client Workstations for temporary files.
\ \[Server]\MovewareInstalls – Where the moveware installation files are located.
