Confirm a Waybill
Once an incoming Waybill is received, it is important to send an acknowledgement back to the Origin Agent confirming that it has been received successfully. The confirmation message is created and sent to the Origin Agent via the MoveConnect Web Service.
A Waybill may be confirmed in the Waybills module or the MoveConnect window.
How to Confirm a Waybill
Navigate to the Waybills module in the main menu of Moveware or open the MoveConnect window.
Navigate to the Diary tab and locate the diary action associated with the MoveTransfer. The standard description of the MoveTransfer Diary is Waybill Move Transfer Received.
Click the Complete button [
]. Click Yes in the Complete Action pop up window.
The status of the diary action is updated from Pending to Received. The Received status is required by the MoveConnect Web Service to distinguish Waybills that require a confirmation message to be sent out to the Origin Agent’s database.
Note: Completing the Job-related diary action will not notify the sender – it is used as a visual indicator of whether the Job has been reviewed internally. The diary action also allows the user to quickly access the Jobs tabs from the MoveConnect window without having to navigate to the Jobs menu.
Once MoveConnect Web Service has uploaded the confirmation message to the Moveware Web Server, the status of the diary action will automatically change from Received to Successful as a formal indicator for the user that the confirmation was sent successfully.
