Inventory Management – Storage
This category allows you to define all of the Storage vaults/pallets/modules that you may use to store customer goods in a designated storage facility.
Overview of Fields
Field | Description |

Type | This is a Drop down box to select the Inventory type. Click on the down arrow next to the type field and select Storage. |
ID | A unique storage module ID number assigned by Moveware. |
Number | Your company’s unique identifier for each storage item. |
Description | A full description of the storage item. |
Make | The make or model of the item. |
Supplier | The name of the company who sold you the storage module. |
Owned By | The owner of the storage module. |
Cost Type | N/A |
Size | The physical dimensions of the storage module. |
Volume / Weight | The volume (or weight) of the storage item. |
Status | Active/Inactive |
Branch | The branch the storage module belongs to. |
Cost Centre | The cost centre the storage module belongs to. |
G/L Code | Used to define the G/L code for the storage module. |
Item Cost | The cost of the storage module. |
Rate | N/A |
Date Acquired | The date the storage module was acquired. |
Costing Item | N/A |
Template | N/A |
Hire | N/A |
Default Cal Type | The period in which the storage module is billed when it’s used by a customer. e.g Hourly, Daily, Monthly, Fixed. |
Agent | Agent currently using the storage module. |
Current Location | Current location of the storage facility. |
Location Date | Date the storage facility was moved to this location. Click the lightning bolt icon next to this field to change the module’s location. |
Storage Clients | Clients using the Storage module. |
Comments | This field is used to record relevant information about the storage module. |
