The “Other” category of Inventory Management allows you to record miscellaneous Inventory Items that do not fall into other Inventory Management Categories.  Other items can be added to Jobs as Resources.

This is a Drop down box to select the Inventory type. Click on the down arrow next to the type field and select Other.

ID

A unique Moveware-assigned ID number of the item.

Number

A unique name or number for the item.

Description

A full description of this item.

Make

The make of the item.

Model

The model of the item

Supplier

The Supplier of this item.

Owned By

The owner of the item.

Cost Type

N/A

Product

Choose a Creditor Product, which creates a link between the item as a Resource on a Job, and a line item in Costing on the Job. This allows cost and sell prices to update on Costing as these items are added as resources.

Size

The size of the item.

Sort

The order in which the item is sorted. Enter a number to sort numerically. If no numbers are entered, the items will sort alphabetically.

Volume

The Volume of the item.

Shortcut

N/A

Status

Active or Inactive.

Branch

The branch for this item.

Cost Centre

The Cost Centre item applies to.

G/L Code

The G/L code this item is assigned to.

Item Cost

The cost of the item.

Rate

The sell price of the item.

Date Acquired

The date the item was acquired.

Costing Item

N/A

Hire

N/A

Template

N/A

Default

N/A

Default Calc Type

Select the cost period for this item. e.g. Hourly, Daily, Weekly.

Agent

Agent currently using the item.

Current Location

Current location of the item.

Location Date

Date the item was moved to this location. Click the Locate button next to this field to change the item’s location.

Default Type

N/A

Display Branches

Double click and choose all branches under which the item should display as an option. Leave blank if all branches should see this item.

Display Cost Centres

Double click and choose all Cost Centres (types of Jobs) under which the item should display as an option. Leave blank if Jobs for all Cost Centres should be able to use this item.
