Receive SMS responses in Moveware and assign them to the right Job automatically

When SMS replies are received, Moveware will attempt to assign them to the correct Job automatically. The logic used by Moveware is as follows:

  1. We determine a set number of days to look for Jobs to match. Normally up to 5, but that can be changed using a System Parameter.

  2. Once a message is received, the system looks for Jobs with matching sender and receiving number within the timeframe we set.

  3. If the system finds a job with matching numbers, it includes the reply in it as an “SMS Received” diary action.

  4. The Sales Rep of the job will receive a notification of the new received message.


Manually matching “orphan” messages

If the System cannot match the numbers to any Job, one or more predetermined users will receive a notification of those messages and they will be able to match them manually using the same procedure as the Outlook inbox. Refer to “Setting up Employee Notifications” for instructions in setting up users to be notified.

To manually add orphan SMS messages to Jobs, we have added a new folder called “Received SMS” within the Moveware “Outlook inbox” screen. To review and import orphan messages:

  1. Open the Outlook Inbox screen

  2. Select the folder “Received SMS” from the dropdown

  3. Click YES on the Refresh Received SMS

  4. Select the message you want to move and assign to a particular job

  5. Select “Removal” to link it to a job

  6. Click the property button to bring the jobs full list

  7. Filter and select the job you want

  8. Click OK

  9. Click the Post yellow button to post the message to a Job.
