Once your employees have been set up to use Mobi, they will be able to send emails directly from the app. However, there are three settings that you need to consider first in Mobi settings in Moveware.

Settings can be managed by individual user or by group (or example “Surveyor” group settings).

For an introduction to configuring Mobi settings please visit: How to Configure Mobi Settings.

Once in settings, search for “Email” and you will find three settings:

  1. Email Interface: There are two options for this setting- Moveware and Disabled. Moveware sends emails via Moveware- i.e. emails sent will be synced to Moveware and sent from Moveware’s mail service or Disabled – user cannot send Emails through mobi

  1. Email Account Override: This setting controls the source of the emails sent from the app Mobi (in other words which email address will be used as the “From” account when sending an email). This setting can only be used if you chose the “Moveware” option in step 1, as using the “Device” option will always use the email account setup on the user’s device.

  • If you want that all emails sent from the App will appear as sent from the Branch’s email (as set on Administration à Company Setup à Branches -> Details tab), then set the setting to “Active”.

  • If you want that all emails sent from the App will appear as sent from the User’s individual email address (as set on Employee à Employee Management à Details Tab), then set the setting to “Inactive”

It is important to note that for either option to work  the email account you have setup as your main company’s administrative email account must have “send on behalf” rights assigned to it for the email address you are choosing.

  1. Use Mobi Modal for Email: This setting enables the Mobi email interface to load up. It should always be set to Yes if emails are being sent via Mobi.
